WELCOME TO BIG PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP PARKS
The Big Prairie Township Parks are located in the backwater of Hardy Dam, the third largest earthen dam in the United States! There are 17 miles of waterway from Hardy Dam to Rogers Dam for recreational waterskiing, swimming, fishing or boating. The brilliant fall colors with the blue waters and white sandy beaches are a breathtaking sight. No matter what your style of camping, we have you covered from primitive lots to camping trailers, these parks have the amenities campers want and the views people enjoy!

Oxbow Park
Big Bend Park


Oxbow and Big Bend Parks are family and pet friendly. We offer docks, showers, water, and electricity, sewage disposal, pavilion access, playgrounds, picnic areas, and water front access for boating, fishing, swimming, waterskiing. The brilliant fall colors with the blue waters are a breathtaking site. And, we're open all year long, too!

Operator's Village
Day Park

This public facility is located in the shadows of Hardy Dam, providing hours of fun for all with it's beaches, pavilion, and picnic areas. This public recreation facility is part of a Consumers Energy hydroelectric dam project licensed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. It is open to all members of the public without regard to race, color, religious creed or national origin.
